Pizza Crust (James')

This recipe is from "Taste of Home" cookbook.


  • 2 1/4 t. active dry yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 2 T. olive oil
  • 1 t. sugar
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. white flour
  • Corn meal


  1. In large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Add the oil, sugar, salt and flour, 1/2 c. at a time, mixing between additions.
  3. Lightly dust pizza round(s) with cornmeal.
  4. Press dough on pizza round(s), building up edges slightly.
  5. Prick with fork and bake in preheated 425º oven for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  6. Spread pizza sauce on top and add toppings; bake 10-15 minutes longer.

Servings: 1 pizza crust
