Four Cheese Stuffed Shells

 

Ingredients:

  • 18 pasta shells, cooked and drained
  • 2 c. ricotta cheese
  • 1 c. provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 1 T. dried parsley
  • 1 t. dried basil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 c. spaghetti sauce*
  • 1 1/2 c. mozzarella cheese, shredded

Note: I use 1/2 of the spaghetti sauce recipe (minus the ground beef).

Directions:

  1. Combine ricotta cheese, provolone cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, basil, garlic, salt and pepper in medium bowl; stir until well mixed.
  2. Spread 1/2 c. spaghetti sauce on bottom of baking dish.
  3. Fill shells with ricotta mixture; place in dish.
  4. Spread remaining 1 c. spaghetti sauce over shells.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over stuffed shells.
  6. Bake at 350° for 20-30 minutes.

Servings: Makes 9x13-inch pan.
