Lasagna (Crock Pot)

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 T. dehydrated onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 oz. tomato sauce
  • 1 t. dried oregano
  • 2 t. garlic powder
  • 1 t. dried basil
  • 1/4 t. pepper
  • 6-9 uncooked lasagna noodles
  • 4 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. small curd cottage cheese
  • 1/2 c. water

Directions:

  1. Cook beef and onion together in frying pan until browned. Drain.
  2. Stir in tomato sauce, garlic, and spices. Mix well.
  3. Spread 1/4 of meat sauce in crock pot.
  4. Arrange three lasagna noodles (broken) over sauce.
  5. Spoon 1/3 of cottage cheese over noodles.
  6. Sprinkle a mozzarella cheese over cottage cheese.
  7. Repeat layers twice.
  8. Top with remaining meat sauce.
  9. Pour water in crock pot; cover and cook on Low for 4 hours.

Note: If using a large Crock-Pot, spread 1/3 of meat sauce and ½ of cottage cheese and ½ of mozzarella cheese for each of two layers.

Servings: Serves 6.
