Capellini with Garlicky Broccoli



  • 6 oz. uncooked Jovial Foods brown rice capellini
  • 1-2 c. broccoli florets
  • 2 T. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced (opt.)
  • ½ t. red pepper flakes (opt.)
  • Grated parmesan cheese


  1. Bring 2 quarts of water to a rolling boil in large stockpot. Salt to taste.
  2. Drop in broccoli and blanch for 5-7 minutes; remove with slotted spoon.
  3. Cook pasta in the broccoli cooking water.
  4. In large skillet, cook olive oil, garlic, red pepper and red pepper flakes on low heat for about 5 minutes. Turn up heat, add broccoli and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add pasta to skillet and stir fry.
  6. Serve with grated parmesan cheese.
