Ingredients:

  • ¼ c. butter
  • ¼ c. flour
  • 2 c. beef broth
  • ¼ t. ea. salt and pepper
  • ½ - 1 t. onion powder

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add flour and stir with whisk until bubbly.
  3. Add beef broth and whisk until mixture is smooth and thick.
  4. Add salt, pepper and onion powder.

Servings: makes 2 cups
