Rotissierie Chicken in the Crock Pot



  • 1 t. dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 t. garlic powder
  • 2-3 t. Kosher salt
  • 1 t. paprika
  • 1 t. ground black pepper
  • ½ t. cayenne pepper (opt.)
  • 1 whole chicken (4-5 lbs.) rinsed and patted dry
  • 2 T. olive oil


  1. Mix seasonings together in small bowl.
  2. Put porcelain dish (bottom side up) or aluminum foil balls in bottom of crock pot.
  3. Rinse and pat dry chicken.
  4. Loosen the skin of the chicken and generously rub seasonings under the skin.
  5. Rub olive oil on top of skin and rub with rest of seasonings.
  6. Place chicken, breast side down on a small porcelain dish or foil balls.
  7. Cook on High for 5 hours.

Servings: 1 chicken
