Hot Apple Pie In a Goblet

From The Working Family's Cookbook


  • 3 large Golden Delicious apples, peeled, cored and coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 16 shortbread cookies, crumbled
  • 1 pint frozen yogurt (or ice cream)


  1. Combine apples, sugar, water and cinnamon in a sauce pan. Bring to simmer over medium heat.
  2. Cover and cook (stirring occasionally) — 15 minutes.
  3. Remove lid, cook 5 more minutes until apples soften and liquid is almost evaporated.
  4. Divide 1/2 cookie crumbs among 4 goblets, sprinking crumbs in the bottom of the glasses.
  5. Divide ice cream between goblets and top each with 1/4 of the apples.
  6. Sprinkle top with remaining cookie crumbs and serve immediately.
