Red Enchilada Sauce

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 28-oz can whole peeled tomatoes (with juice) or 28 oz. tomato sauce
  • 2 T. chili powder
  • 1 T. taco seasoning*
  • half an onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • salt to taste

Taco Seasoning (makes 3/8 c.)

  • ¼ c. chili powder
  • 2 t. ea. garlic powder, paprika, cumin and salt

Directions:

  1. Blend all ingredients together.
  2. If desired, simmer for 15-30 minutes.

Note: May freeze.

Servings: Makes 4 cups.
