adapted from


  • 2-8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 t. garlic powder
  • 1/2 t. dried oregano
  • 1 t. dried parsley
  • 1/8 t. black pepper
  • 1/2 T. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 t. hot pepper (Tabasco) sauce
  • 1 c. pecans, finely chopped for rolling


  1. Place finely chopped pecans in a shallow dish and set aside.
  2. In large bowl, mix the cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add cheddar cheese and mix until combined.
  4. Sprinkle seasonings and sauces over mixture; thoroughly combine.
  5. Lightly grease hands and form mixture either into 2 balls or 1 log.
  6. Place in pecans and coat thoroughly.
  7. Cover cheeseballs or log in plastic wrap until ready to serve.

Servings: Makes 2 cheeseballs or 1 log
