Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 c butter, softened
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 3/4 c brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 1/2 c flour, add more if they are too flat
  • 2 c semi sweet chocolate chips

Chocolate Chip M&M Cookies

  • Substitute 1 c M&Ms for 1 c chocolate chips.

Red, White, & Blue Cookies

  • Substitute 1 c. vanilla chips, 2/3 c. dried blueberries, 2/3 c. craisins for the chocolate chips.

Vanilla Chip & Butter Brickle Cookies

  • Substitute 1 c vanilla chips and 1/2 bag of butter brickle chips for the chocolate chips.

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and both sugars.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Add salt, baking soda, and flour gradually. Beat well.
  4. Add in chocolate chips.
  5. Use a cookie scoop to put dough on the cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-11 minutes. Bake first batch one minute longer.
  7. Remove when still slightly underdone. Let sit on cookie sheet for 5-10 minutes to set before putting on a cooling rack.

Servings: Approximately 36-42 cookies.
