Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Ingredients:

Meatballs

  • 1 1/2 lb. very lean hamburger
  • 3/4 c. quick oats
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. pepper
  • 1 t. Worcestershire sauce

Sauce

  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. apple cider vinegar
  • 2 t. mustard
  • 1/2 c. barbeque sauce
  • 2 t. Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

Meatballs

  1. Combine all of the ingredients and mix well.
  2. Form into 1 1/2" balls and place in a casserole dish.
  3. Cover with sauce (below).
  4. Bake at 350º for about 30 minutes.
  5. Serve over rice.

Sauce

  1. Combine ingredients and blend thoroughly.
  2. Heat in a small saucepan until combined and sugar is dissolved.

Servings: Makes 36-40 meatballs.
