Venetian Beef Pie

Ingredients:
- One 10 inch unbaked pastry shell AND one pastry roll for top (I use oil pie crust)
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. bell pepper, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 4 T. oil
- 1 t. oregano
- 1/2 t. garlic
- 1/2 t. salt
- 3 medium zucchini, sliced
- 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
- 2 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- Milk
- Pepper
- Garlic salt
Directions:
- In 2 T. oil, sauté the ground beef, bell pepper, and onion.
- Add oregano, garlic, and salt.
- Layer 1/2 of sliced zucchini and meat mixture in the bottom of pastry shell.
- Combine bread crumbs and cheese and put ½ of it on top of meat mixture.
- Repeat layers.
- Top with sliced tomatoes.
- Pour remaining 2 T. oil over all and put on top crust.
- Brush with milk; dust with pepper and garlic salt.
- Bake in pre-heated 350-degree oven for 1 hour.
Servings: Serves 6-8.
