Peanut Butter Cups

Adapted from Doreen Georgeson's Kitchen


  • 1 c. creamy peanut butter, divided
  • 4 1/2 t. butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 c. (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 4 milk chocolate candy bars (1.55 ounces each), coarsely chopped


  1. In a small bowl, combine 1/2 c. peanut butter, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth; set aside.
  2. In a microwave, melt the chocolate chips, candy bars and remaining peanut butter; stir until smooth. (Microwave for 1 minute, then stir. Continue microwaving as needed in 15 second increments, stirring afterwards each time.)
  3. Drop teaspoonfuls of chocolate mixture into paper-lined miniature muffin cups.
  4. Top each with a scant teaspoonful of peanut butter mixture.
  5. Top with another teaspoonful of chocolate mixture.
  6. Refrigerate until set.
  7. Store in an airtight container or the freezer.

Servings: Makes 36.
