Ingredients:
1 uncooked pie crust (oil)
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
2 T. dehydrated onion
4 eggs
1/2 c. sour cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Note:
I use the oil pie crust recipe.
Directions:
Prepare pastry and press into a quiche or pie plate.
Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion in pastry-lined pie plate.
Beat eggs slightly; beat in remaining ingredients.
Pour egg mixture into pie plate.
Cook uncovered in pre-heated 425º oven for 15 minutes.
Reduce temperature to 300º and cook for another 30 minutes.
Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
Variations:
Bacon and Swiss cheese
Sausage, mushroom, and Monterrey Jack cheese
Ham and sharp cheddar cheese
Servings:
Makes 1 quiche.
