Ingredients:

  • 1 uncooked pie crust (oil)
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 T. dehydrated onion
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Note: I use the oil pie crust recipe.

Directions:

  1. Prepare pastry and press into a quiche or pie plate.
  2. Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion in pastry-lined pie plate.
  3. Beat eggs slightly; beat in remaining ingredients.
  4. Pour egg mixture into pie plate.
  5. Cook uncovered in pre-heated 425º oven for 15 minutes.
  6. Reduce temperature to 300º and cook for another 30 minutes.
  7. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.

Variations:

  1. Bacon and Swiss cheese
  2. Sausage, mushroom, and Monterrey Jack cheese
  3. Ham and sharp cheddar cheese

Servings: Makes 1 quiche.
